MADE IT HOME

Getting back home to Council after a week in Anchorage is not the usual way. First you hitch a ride to as far as the road is open, today it was East Fork Bridge around 45 -46 miles from Nome. There we met Doug and Mike who snowmachined from Council with my machine on a go-devil, after I put on snow suit, winter boots, fir hat we hit the road for home. It was a beautiful day in the 20's and hardly any wind. Some creeks are still running but most frozen. So after 30 miles on the machine and all the fresh air we are hitting the sack early.

  1. Glad you had a safe trip. Looks very adventurous. Maybe next time out you can come to Fairbanks and visit us. :)
